Lab Dra Khampa

Labdra Khampa’s main objective is to support children by providing them access to basic education, to healthcare services and offering a sustainable and respectful  future.
LabDraKhampa’s programme designs projects that take into consideration the elementary requirements necessary for child development (health, nutrition, education, environment) but it also provides an environment where children’s abilities are valued and integrated so that they can become active participants in future economic life.
The main actors of the programme are the children, their families and Dzongsar community at large.   

LabdraKhampa ensures that the actors are participating in every phase of the projects. The objective is to strengthen the abilities of the community and empower them so that in the future they are able to ndependently manage the facilities which will have been put independently manage the facilities which will have been put  into  place.

The projects that receive funding from the organisation aim at : 

Enabling most disadvantaged children to gain access to basic education,
Renovating and expanding existing primary schools and community centres,
Building a cultural centre to preserve Tibetan identity,
Providing services in the main areas of child development : health, nutrition, education, housing, environment,
Promoting  awareness of basic hygiene and environmental protection . 

In close cooperation with the local team Lab Dra Khampa designs educational programmes addressing issues of health, hygiene and sanitation.
